It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Wayne Thompson (Richlands, Virginia), who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother David Thompson; his grandmother Catherine "Granny" Miller; his niece Susan Stiltner; and his brother-in-law Lewis Cook. He is survived by: his mother Mary Louise Miller of Honaker; his wife Teresa Pinion Thompson; his son Matthew Wayne Thompson (Caitlin) of Honaker, Virginia; and his sisters, Catherine Hess (Leon) of Honaker, Nancy McGhee (Gary) of Lebanon, Lisa Cook of Honaker and Amy Musick (Earl "Junior") of Honaker. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
