With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deborah Owens of Richlands, Virginia, who passed away on May 2, 2026 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vaughn Staley and Cora Boyd Owens. She is survived by: her daughter Jackie Pruitt (Nathan Sutherland) of Richlands, Virginia; her close friend Woody Richardson of Richlands, Virginia; her children, Amanda Richardson, Jamie Richardson, Michelle Murray, Solace Johnson, Juniper Mary Richardson and Sevi Smith; her brother Vaughn Staley Owens, Jr. of Roanoke, Virginia; her nephews, Anthony Owens and Jason Owens; and her close friend Sharon Hamrick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in the form of donations to assist with funeral expenses to the Deborah Owens Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1620 Honaker, VA 24260.
