She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Lee Cantrell and Nancy Rebecca Horn Cantrell; her husbands, Rev. Daniel Boone Watson, Jr. and Frederick Lee Brown; her siblings, Frances Rosalee Hylton Hughes and Beve Curtis Cantrell; her stepchildren, Joe Waston, Lucy Davis, Peggy Corea, Barbara Coldwell and Wanda Faye Craven; and her stepgranddaughter Lisa Altizer.
She is survived by: her son Jim Brown (Pat) of Richlands, Virginia; her stepchildren, Anne Watson Brewster, Millie Watson Kaseeska, Bessie Purdle, James Watson, Bill Watson, Tony Watson and Lou Watson; her grandchild DeDe Richardson (David); her stepson Jason Brown (Amanda); and her great grandchildren, Brennan Richardson, Bryson Richardson and Jase Brown. She is also survived by Several Step Grandchildren and Step Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Richlands First Assembly of God (151 Flat Top Rd, Richlands, VA 24641).
