He is survived by: his wife Betsy Lakey; his children, Jennifer Whited (Todd) of Swords Creek and Joshua Lakey (Brittany) of Claypool Hill; his grandchildren, Rachel and Carley Whited; and his siblings, Larry Lakey of Jonesborough, TN, Timothy Lakey of Pocahontas, Keith Lakey (Michelle) of Newport News and Conchita Horne (Scott) of Cedar Bluff.
