He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charlie N. Hylton and Virtie Elkins Hylton; his daughter Ashley Powell (Rob) of Haymarket, VA.; his sister Wanda Hylton Stanton (John) of Radford, VA; his close friends, Ann Dye, Patsy Green and Gilda Richardson; his grandchildren, Shelby Powell of Haymarket, VA and Taylor Thomas (Briar) of Culpepper, VA; and his great grandchildren, Landon Thomas and Baker Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that, in place of flowers, donations be made to the Worship Hymn Church, P.O. Box 480, Pounding Mill, VA 24637.
