He was predeceased by: his father Wade Armes. He is survived by: his mother Pauline Hampton Armes; his daughter Stephanie Darlene Shimko of Ann Arbor, Michigan; his siblings, Nancy Alsbrook of Baptist Valley, Virginia and Jack Armes (Brenda) of Abingdon, VA.; his close friend Jane Stinson; and his pets, Rosebud and Sally. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
