He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Dye; his daughters, Revonda Cottrell and Kim Steele; his grandchildren, Sydney Gordon (Dave), Caleb Altizer (Raina), Hannah Cottrell and Kendra Broussard; his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Jax and Leila Gordon; his close friend Porscha (Patricia); his siblings, Evelyn Reynolds, Donald "Gene" Dye and Larry Wayne Dye; and his close friends, Dr. Don Bartley, Allen Whited, Danny "Redd" Horton, Keith Cottrell, Keith Richardson and Danny Bostic. He is also survived by his wife; she was his partner, his home, and the love of his life.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
