She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hand and Heloise Rowe Hand; her husband George "Poppy" Nuckels; her children, Linda Sue Fitzgerald and James Robert "Tyke" Nuckels; and her brother Jimmy Hand.
She is survived by: her son Thomas "Danny" Nuckles of Richlands, Virginia; her grandchildren, Letisha Elkins (Michael Keller) of Richlands, Virginia, Letonya Altizer-Compton (Mike) of Richlands, Virginia, Johnathan "JJ" Altizer (Christi) of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, Rick Barton of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, Michelle and Russell Stoots; her daughter Amanda Jesse (Chris) of Lebanon, Virginia.; her great grandchildren, Justin Keene (Kelly) of Richlands, Virginia, Rachel Elkins (Tristan Carty) of Pounding Mill, Virginia, Jaylyn Altizer, Elle Altizer, Elijah Cook, Aiden Cook, Walker Jesse, Cole Barton, Mollie Mullins and Kai Barton; and her great great grandchild Reagan Keene.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hankins Cemetery.
