He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgle Kennedy and Rosie Jane Elswick Kennedy of Red Ash, VA.; his wives, Joyce Simmons Kennedy and Virginia Asbury Kennedy; his children, Deborah Anderson Brown and Kenneth Harmon (Wire); and his siblings, Sam, Butch, Eugene Kennedy and Margaret Boyd.
He is survived by: his grandson Riley Kennedy; and his siblings, Darrell Kennedy (Pegg), Thomas Kennedy (Libby) and Ada Silcox (Denver). He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Singleton Funeral and Cremation Service (1116 Cedar Valley Dr, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
