We announce the death of Wanda Carol Martin of Richlands, Virginia, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 76. Wanda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lincoln White and Dorothy Horn White; her husband Steve Martin; and her brother Benny White. She is survived by: her children, Donna Strouth (Matt) of Bristol, TN and David Smith (Zeusa) of Summersville, WV; her stepdaughters, Sabrina Earls (Craig) and Miranda Boardwine (Jon); her siblings, Sue Boggs (Glenn) of Richlands, VA, Patricia White of Jewell Ridge, VA, Sandra Stacy of Cedar Bluff, VA, Janet Cole (Paul) of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Betty Newberry (David) of Cedar Bluff, VA, Diana Taylor (Gary) of Richlands, VA and Curtis White (Linda) of Pounding Mill, VA; her grandchildren, Tyler Johnson (Brianne) and Haley Johnson; her great grandchildren, Kiva, Zaleigh, Lilith, Kylie, Arabella, Atlas and Knox; and her stepgrandchildren, Lauren Earls, CJ Earls, Isabella Martin, Jonathan Boardwine and Lashay Boardwine.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home (1401 2nd St, Richlands, VA 24641). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association in her memory.
