She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Anthony Owens and Virginia Adcock Owens; and her cousin Shirley Mooney Riehl. She is survived by: her husband John Sheriden Ashworth; her daughters, Carolyn Ashworth Ainsley (Richmond) and Amy Ashworth Calos; her sons-in-law, Howard Newman Ainsley and Stefan Mitchell Calos; her grandchildren, Newman Carraway Ainsley, Lauren Ainsley Howren, Alexa Knight Calos and Ariana Wells Calos; her grandchildren-in-law, Julia Edwards Ainsley and Joseph Michael Howren; her great grandchildren, Mary Wells Knight Ainsley, Ian Michael Howren, Caroline Banks Ainsley and Maryn Noelle Howren; and her sister Elaine Rowe.
