He is survived by: his wife Arlene Johnson; his daughters, Latisha Cox and Jawana Johnson; his grandchildren, Jasmine Cox, Tyree Cox and Aryion Hoskins; his parents, Archie Davis Johnson and Eva Marie Johnson; his siblings, Gloria Johnson, Jane Dandridge (Isaac), Eva Traverse, Brenda Littleton, Lesa Pleasants, Milton Cox, Craig Johnson and Eldridge Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Cheatham, Rose Nutall, Patricia Ruffin, Juanita Baines and James Cooper (Dorothy). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home (2011 Grayland Ave, Richmond, VA 23220). The lying in state will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sixth Baptist Church (400 S Addison St, Richmond, VA 23220). Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
