He was predeceased by: his parents, Sonya Strulson and Leon Strulson. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Benenson Strulson; his children, Sam Strulson (Emily) and Erin Strulson Tabakin; his grandchildren, Isabelle Strulson, Franklin Tabakin and Casey Tabakin; and his siblings, Barry Strulson (Leah), Annabelle Galumbeck (Robert) and JoClaire Strulson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made in Arnold's memory to Congregation Beth Ahabah, or to the VCU School of Pharmacy Annual Fund.

“A friend from Norfolk moved to Roanoke and I recalled the last time I communicated with Arnold; he was pharmacist in Roanoke. I told the friend I'd get his information in the hope they could meet as he was truly a nice guy. The last thing I expected to find was his obituary. Eileen, I hope you will remember me as Arnold's fraternity brother at VCU in the late 60's. I cannot help but recall his calm, kind demeanor. May his memory be for a blessing.
