In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Barbara had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Barbara may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Waters of Oneonta, NY; and her parents, Lillian Roach (Clark) and Emmett John Roach. She is survived by: her children, Daniel (Lynn), Terry (Linda), Robert, Nancy Stiebel (Chris) and John (Sharon); and her sister Doreen Ryan (Jim). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Saint Michael Catholic Church (4491 Springfield Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23060). A Mass will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Barb served as AAUW President, City Chairman of the Oneonta Heart Fund, Ward Captain of the American Cancer Society Fund Drive, and on the Oneonta Transportation Committee.
