We bid farewell to Beatrice Marie (Spinella) Sykes (Richmond, Virginia), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 11, 2025 at the age of 88. Beatrice touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Spinella and Florence Spinella (Rovigo); her husband Linwood Jr.; her brothers, Nick Spinella (Beanie) and Joseph Spinella (Gloria); and her granddaughter Mary Catherine Kelly.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine L. Sinclair (James), Linwood L. Sykes III (Anita) and Patricia M. Coursey (Christopher); her grandchildren, Taylor M. Kelly (Jennifer), Kayla P. Sykes (Haley), Collin A. Sykes (Amanda), Bryce C. Coursey, Sydney N. Coursey and Ian J. Sinclair; and her great grandchild Waylin Crew Sykes. She is also survived by in-laws, cousins, and all her loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bliley's Funeral Home (8510 Staples Mill Rd, Richmond, VA 23228). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Bridget Catholic Church (6006 Three Chopt Rd, Richmond, VA 23226). A reception will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. She and Linwood were notorious for wearing masks on Halloween, or bunny ears at Easter to visit her agents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Comboni Missionary Sisters, St Bridget Catholic Church, or a charity of your choice.
