He was predeceased by: his father Edwin Benjamin Barbour; his grandparents, Edwin Singleton, Doris Reynolds Barbour, James Gibson and Virginia Snodgrass Johnson; his aunts, Dianne Barbour Kester and Nancy Barbour Smith; his friend Allyce Eubanks Fisher; and his godmother Dorothy Fisher Payne.
He is survived by: his mother Joella Johnson Barbour; his sister Margaret Allycen Barbour Williams (John Harrell Williams); his sibling's children, Jackson McGuyre, Keegan Gibson Williams and Brodi Joella Williams; his aunts, Sylvia Jeanne Johnson, Patsy Barbour Craig and Kathy Reed Johnson; his uncle James McKee Johnson; his godfather Roy Lee Payne; and his close friend Anita Holmes Garland.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory to Hampden-Sydney College or to its Atkinson Museum.
