He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Ray and Frances O'Neal Harris; his brothers, Kenwood and Wayne Harris; and his former wife Lorena B. Harris.

He is survived by: his daughters, Robin McCathern (Joseph Ozimek) and Elizabeth Little; his grandsons, Walker McCathern, Ian McCathern (Jenn) and Bishop O'Neal McCathern; his brother Ronald Harris; and his sister-in-law Sharon Harris. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
