She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Nelson and Hettie Nelson; and her husband Norris Henry Simmons. She is survived by: her sons, Gregory Simmons and Stephen Simmons; her grandsons, Buddy (Rachel) and Billy; and her great grandchildren, Haley and Hudson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
