She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Layne and Herbert Jackson Layne. She is survived by: her husband Joe Mills, Sr.; her children, Karen Havelka (Joey) and Joe Mills, Jr. (Chi); her grandchildren, Naomie, Norah, Franklin, Jackson, Jacob and Noelle; and her siblings, Gail Rivers, Lee Slater (Charlie), Willie Saunders (Keith) and Herbie Layne (Kristina). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
