She was predeceased by: her parents, George Thomas and Annie Thomas; her husband DeNard Coles; her siblings, Jacqueline Brooks, Denise Ross and Clinton Thomas; and her grandchildren, Anderson Johnson (Ralph), Dominique Tedder and Rasheen Wallington.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Thomas (Audrey), Levelle Tedder, Christopher Tedder (Tawanda), Derek Coles and Denetta Coles; and her siblings, George D. Thomas, Betty Thomas, Brenda Underwood, Patricia Fussell, Deborah Thomas and Pamela King. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
