He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William Henry and Mary Ann Yancey Sipe; and his siblings, Elisabeth Susan "Lisa" Sipe and William Henry "Hank" Sipe. He is survived by: his wife Cameron Carter Clark; his children, Charles Yancey Sipe, Jr., Landon Clark Sipe and Ann Carter Sipe; and his sister Mary Hedley Sipe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
