She was predeceased by: her daughter Sara; her parents, Edith Novak and Steve Novak; her grandparents, Cleveland and Ida Thomas; her nephew Michael Lamb; and her aunts, Foots Hockett and Susie Lanver.

She is survived by: her husband Larry; her children, Elizabeth Weaver (Derrick) and Daniel Bruehl; her stepchildren, Damon McIlwee (Yvonne), Carol Harrison (Kevin) and Kimberly McIlwee; her siblings, Margaret Lamb, Stevie Novak and Cathy Childress (Bert); and her friend Marcia West. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
