He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyrus Walker Field, Sr. and Lillian Field. He is survived by: his son Matthew Walker Field; his sister Joyce Daniels; his wife Ellen Lumsden Field; his children, Malinda Phelps (Rick), Lacinda Sims (Bill), Mark Everett Field (Maria Edwards) and Lorne Walker Field (Heather Slonaker); his grandchildren, Stephanie Kenney (Criss), Melissa Siddiqi (Jamil), Christopher Field (Chelsea), Sylvia Sims, Thomas Sims, Nicholas Sims and Dylan Field; his great grandchildren, Parker Bolton, Keagan Bolton, Gabriella Kenney, Elizabeth Field and Evangelina Field; and his sisters, Virginia Alvis, Carolyn Wright (Bob), Brenda Dudley (Bob) and Priscilla Taylor (Burt). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bliley's (3801 Augusta Ave, Richmond, VA 23230). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (236 S Laurel St, Richmond, VA 23220).
