He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lyons and Pat Lyons; and his sister Mary Lyons Rivers. He is survived by: his children, Florence Lyons Garrett (Kenny) and David B Lyons, Jr.; his niece Christina Comley; and his nephew Andrew Rivers.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hatcher Memorial Baptist Church (2300 Dumbarton Rd, Richmond, VA 23228).
