He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Grace Elizabeth, John William Cannady, Jr., Anna Elizabeth and David D. Scott; his uncle David Bruce Scott; and his pets, Simon, Sassy and Jax.

He is survived by: his parents, Beverly Scott and John William Cannady III; his sisters, Amanda Blakely Cannon (Tony) and Jordan Cannady Fletcher (Corey); his nieces and nephews, Kensley Cannon, Briley Fletcher and Corbin Cannon; his aunts, Carol Puckett (Randy) and Kim Clay (H. L.); and his cousins, Whitney, Lindsey and Justin.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory - Colonial Heights (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory (2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834).
