It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Gray (Richmond, Virginia), born in Hopewell, Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Edgar may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Archie Gray and Viola Angel; and his wife Carol Gray. He is survived by: his sister Shirely Throckmorton; his son Howard Gray; his grandchildren, Thomas and Elizabeth Gray; his daughter-in-law Pamella Gray; and also Margaret Gray.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bennet Funeral Home West Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Appomattox Cemetery.
