He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Minna Dietrich Adams; his siblings, James Henry Adams, Jr. and Edith Adams Rockecharlie; and his sons, James Christian Adams and Robert Edward Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Branner Adams; and his nephew Thomas A. Rockecharlie, Jr..
