He was predeceased by: his parents, Addie Hawkins and George Hawkins; and his brothers, George Jr., Clyde Sr., David and Alexander Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Parrish Hawkins; his children, Marquetta Hawkins, Robin Ford, Roxanne Lamb, Allecenya Hawkins and Linwood Burton, Jr. (Sharon); and his sister-in-law Phyllis Parrish Baskerville. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
