We announce the death of Eleanor Gaffen Ipson of Richmond, Virginia, born in Montréal, Québec, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 87. Eleanor will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her father Harry Bernard Gaffen; her brother Lionel Gaffen; her aunt Sonya; and her uncle Israel Cramel. She is survived by: her husband Jay M. Ipson; her children, Edith (Michael), Ronny and Esther (Terry); her grandchildren, David (Leah), Benjamin (Colleen), Joel (Liron) and Sarah; her great grandchildren, Eden, Benny, Leora, Shira and Mia; and her cousin Aaron Cramer of Massachusetts.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bliley's Funeral Home - Central (3801 Augusta Ave, Richmond, VA 23230). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at the Richmond Beth-El Cemetery.
