She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Elizabeth Scammell and Ernest Allen. She is survived by: her husband Robert Morris Austin II; her children, Robert Morris Austin III and Anne Taite Vogeleer; her brothers, Robert Allen of Ruckersville and John Allen of Keswick; and her grandchildren, Rider Austin, Charlotte Austin of Burlingame, Calif and David Vogeleer III of Richmond.
A private interment will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Memorials or donations may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Forest Campus.
