She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Underwood Carrington and Randolph Carrington; and her siblings, William Randolph Carrington and Gail Carrington Goldberg. She is survived by: her husband Ernest; her daughters, Deanna Hamaker (Bill) and Susan Kochell (Marty); and her grandchildren, Susan Rogowski (Jorge), Joseph Rogowski, Ethan Kochell, Alex Kochell and Aaron Rogowski.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Tabor United Methodist Church (3543 Robinhood Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).
