She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Thomas Sims; her sisters, Delores Griffin and Gertrude Wright; and her son-in-law Keki Rusi Engineer. She is survived by: her children, Jo Anne Sims Fowler (Russell), T. Barry Sims, Toni Engineer, Sherry Sims Pierce (Mark) and Becki Sims Pere (Jon); her grandchildren, Andy Sims, Leigh Fowler, Nathan Jenkins, Matthew Sims, Samuel Jenkins, Brandon Pierce, Ariel McEachin, Lauren Bailey, Bobby Rodriguez, Alyssa Ardura and Alex Rodriguez; and her sister Andrea Brooks (Okey 'Buddy'). She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and children.
