In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Emory had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Emory may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Paul Godsey and Annie B Cliborne; and his brothers, George Godsey and Wayne Cliborne. He is survived by: his wife Etta Godsey; his daughters, Connie Boothe (Jay) and Tracey Wayson; his grandsons, Cory Boothe, Trey Boothe, Cody Wayson (Ali) and John Paul Wayson; and his siblings, Cleve Cliborne and Brenda Morefield (John). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Washington Memorial Park (6217 Memorial Dr, Sandston, VA 23150).
