She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Herz and Antoine Herz; her husband Robert Garland Gill; her daughter Margot Foster; and her siblings, Helga and Robert.
She is survived by: her daughter Erna; her granddaughter Starrene Foster (Jeff Herndon); her great grandchild Grace Herndon; and her siblings, Werner, Sahava, Ilse and Alfred.
