She is survived by: her children, Aquila Darden, Laweeda Darden and Jibril Darden; and her siblings, Halima Muhammad (Halim), Myrah Salaam, Bobby, Michael (Doretta), Ishmiel (Daurete), Jeremiah, Elisha (Valencia) and Uriah Darden (Jennifer). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and friends.
A reception was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the Masjid Bilal (400 Chimborazo Blvd, Richmond, VA 23223). A prayer was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
