She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph P. Gardner; and her daughter Lisa G. Brittle. She is survived by: her children, Joseph P. "Jay" Gardner, Jr. and Pamela G. Bishop; her grandchildren, Kerri A. Bishop and Kevin E. Bishop (Brandy); and her niece Susan R. Ferguson (Bill).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Masonic Home of Virginia, where Mrs. Gardner had been a resident.
