He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Deckert Jr. and Jeannette Vedder Deckert; and his siblings, Harry Deckert, Jane Ryan and Marianna Gaudaur.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Deckert of Waynesboro, VA.; his children, Chris Deckert (Kristin) of Orlando, FL, Jason Deckert (Jenni) of Chester, VA and Alisa Deckert Feliciano (Mo) of Glen Allen, VA.; and his grandchildren, Caleb Deckert, Joshua Deckert, Nathan Deckert, Chloe Deckert, Isaac Feliciano, Conner Deckert, Selah Feliciano, Lexi Deckert and Kelsey Deckert.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church (9155 Hungary Rd, Henrico, VA 23294).
