She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Harvey Childress and Helen Louise Wilkinson; and her sister Joyce Ann Childress. She is survived by: her former husband Robert Joseph Makowsky (Bob); her husband Richard Lee Wells; her daughter Kimberly Gayle Reynolds (Eric); her stepchildren, Scott Wells (Alice) and Susan Ward (Matt); her grandchildren, Christopher Wootton (Emily), Justin Wootton, Joshua Wootton (Katie), Sarah Elizabeth Zupanc (Fred), Aaron Reynolds (Marybeth), Joshua Reynolds and Ryan Reynolds (Brittany); and her great grandchildren, Ian Wootton, Benjamin Wootton, Kiera Zupanc and Reese Reynolds.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Affinity Funeral Service, Richmond Chapel (2720 Enterprise Pkwy, Richmond, VA 23294). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
