She was predeceased by: her mother Virginia; her son Vernon Bannister; and her siblings, Rachel Laverne Frierson and Edward L. Tisdale. She is survived by: her siblings, Joseph A. Tisdale (Ann) and Kathleen T. Jones (Reginald); and her sister-in-law Joan V. Tisdale. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
