He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Whitfield and John Whitfield. He is survived by: his siblings, Frank, Bill, Jimmy and June; his wife Sue; his children, Robert "Robbie" (Joy), Teresa, John and Jason (Angie); his granddaughters, Jessica, Sophia (Isaiah) and Angelia; and his sister Mary (Jerry) of San Antonio. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
