It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Lee Thompson of Richmond, Virginia, who passed away on July 24, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Hope Thompson; his son Ronnie Thompson; his parents, Robert Thompson and Lydia Thompson; and his brothers, Clyde and Thomas Thompson.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Thompson (Teresa), David Thompson and Crystal Wells (Brian); his grandchildren, Ronnie Blake Thompson (Bethany), Amanda Thompson, McKenna and Brianne Wells; and his siblings, Raymond Thompson (Roslyn) and Patricia King (Kinker).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Buford Road Baptist Church.
