She was predeceased by: her parents, Estelle Goode and James Goode; her daughter Carolyn Washington; and her nieces, Jackie Hutcheson and Lillie Hutcheson.
She is survived by: her husband George Washington, Jr.; her daughters, Georgette Washington, Vivian Byrd (Anton) and Tonya Johnson (Tyler); her sister Regina Chambers (James); and her friend Celestine Taylor. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Viewing was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Manning Funeral Home (700 N 25th St, Richmond, VA 23223). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Manning Chapel (700 N 25th St, Richmond, VA 23223). A burial was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Oakwood Cemetery (3101 Nine Mile Rd, Richmond, VA 23223).
