He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Darden and Martha Gardner Darden; his siblings, Hazel Johnson, Lucille Blanchard, Martha Ann Bradshaw, Vicki Leake, Blanche Darden, Lois Turner, Sam Darden, Phillip Darden, Roy Darden, Joe Darden, Elmer Darden, Willie Darden and Clayton "Jap" Darden; and his grandchild Brookie.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Faison "Judi" Darden; his children, Karen Gosnell, Michelle Cleaton, Jamie Darden (Amy) and Michael Turner (Tonya); his siblings, Nell Kauss and Clifton Darden; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Alyssa, Lydia, Madison and Bryce.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
