He is survived by: his wife Lillie Mae Walton Wingfield; his daughter Wendy Wingfield Clay (David) of Richmond; and his grandchildren, Connor Clay Templeton (Michael) of Richmond, Parker Clay of Richmond and Carly Clay of Richmond. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
