He was predeceased by: his parents, John Luther Fitch, Sr. and Winnie Royal Fitch; his wife Frances Pugh Fitch; his brother John Luther Fitch, Jr.; his sister-in-law Maxine S. Fitch; his sister Evelyn Fitch Hutcherson; and his brother-in-law Lynn C. Hutcherson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Deborah Briggs (Ron), Margie Ligon (Arthur) and Barbara Wood; and his grandchildren, Chris Briggs (Kristal), Robert Briggs (Michelle), Justin Ligon (Lauren), Jason Ligon (Kelly), Jessica Dayson (Darryl), Alison Wood and Thomas Wood (Savannah). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
