He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sessions, Sr. and Mazie Jeletha Watson. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his son James Sessions, III (Sarah); his grandson Dejon; his siblings, Hazeleen, Clephos (Janet), Alton, Peggy Lee, Floyd (Norma), Alphonso and Ricky (Patricia); and his caregiver Berley Woolridge. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
