She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Bowman Carter and William Jackson Carter; her husband Harold Emmett Walker; and her siblings, William Jackson Carter, Jr., Robert Bowman Carter and Anne Carter Gaudet.
She is survived by: her sister Margaret "Maggie" Carter Anderson; her children, Mark Jackson Walker (Janet) of Lakewood Ranch, FL and Margaret "Megan" Walker Rose (Jimmy) of Richmond, VA.; her grandchildren, Andrew Jackson Walker (Lisa) of Oregon, WI, Caroline Walker Rose of San Francisco, CA, Margaret "Molly" Rose Brace (Conner) of Washington, DC and William Harold Walker of Greenville, SC; and her great grandchild Emma Lucille Walker of Oregon, WI. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
