She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Aiken and Marie Aiken; and her siblings, James, Carleen, Elizabeth, Mabel, Robert, Roger and David.

She is survived by: her husband Alvin Hunter; her sister Lydia Wilson; her daughter Jennifer Smith; her stepchildren, Tarnesha Hunter and Alvin Hunter, Jr.; her grandchildren, Kevin Jones III, Sterling Woods III, Tyree Hunter, Jayden Jones and Jordan Jones; her great grandchild Ivor'ee Hunter; and her great-niece Nakita Rowell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
