She was predeceased by : her mother Bernice. She is survived by : her siblings, William Currie Jr. (Glenda) of Mechanicsville and Janice Groff (Lyn) of Sandston. She is also survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan's name to the American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
