She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph and Ida Sweeney; and her husband Gabriel A. Hicks, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Chip, Kim (Tim) and Mike; her grandchildren, Scotty (Jordan), Zachary (Kylie), Storm (Katlin), Drew, Kate and Ava; and her great grandchildren, Paityn of Heidi, MJ and Brooks.

A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service (6500 Iron Bridge Rd, Richmond, VA 23234). A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Round Oak Baptist Church Cemetery (15025 Pepmeier Hill Rd, Woodford, VA 22580).
